1 Chair’s welcome

Pete welcomed all present. Membership has been good and very pleased to see the new ladies.

5 Very Sad News

Sadly and tragically Arthur from the team at Totton Rec was fatally injured during a charity event to raise funds for Help the Heros. Paul delivered a tribute to Arthur and expressed sincere gratitude for the support he has given to the members of the club, the Centre and his charity work.

6 Treasurer’s Report

09/10 Accounts presented by Mike

Overall, we have generated a loss in 09/10. Membership is up but income is down, court costs are up. In 10/11 we need recoup some of this deficit.

10/11 Budget presented by Mike

Match fees and club night fees should cover the costs of the match / club night. Match fees have fallen behind, so have been increased to compensate.

7 Match Secretary’s Report

Carolyn presented. Report available.

103 league and 5 cup matches.

Waterside league will continue for another year.

Waterside A won the waterside league.

Many thanks to the team captains, the players and the reserves who stood in.

8 Social Secretary’s Report (Jo)

Presentation evening – 15 members and 10- family members.

Christmas fun tournament was well supported and deemed a great success.

11.1 Coaching

Ł510 in the budget from Sport England for junior members and coaching for the members – funding is available.

11.2 Club Night – Noise

We can appproach TottonRec to turn it down. It can be useful to cite Health and Safety issues in that our warning shouts can not be heard or call our shots.

11.3 Clubnight Game Selection

Committee member running the evening will select the games, but members are encouraged to suggest games.

11.4 Shuttles

They are expensive. Please try to conserve as much as possible.

11.5 Club Ladder

Please discuss suggestions with a committee member.
